These air fryer donuts are soft, fluffy and coated in a smooth milk chocolate glaze. Made with a simple yeast dough, they are a delicious homemade treat without the need for deep frying.

The dough combines flour, sugar, milk, egg and butter, with a touch of nutmeg for extra flavor. After rising, the donuts are brushed with melted butter and cooked in the air fryer until soft and lightly golden. A generous coating of melted milk chocolate makes them especially delicious.

These easy air fryer donuts are perfect for breakfast, dessert or a sweet afternoon snack. Enjoy them once the chocolate glaze has set.

Ingredients

Directions

Step 1

Add the flour, sugar, salt and yeast to a bowl. Mix well.

Step 2

Add the milk, egg and 40 g of melted butter. Mix until a smooth dough forms.

Step 3

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let the dough rise for at least 2 hours, or until it has increased in size.

Step 4

Transfer the dough to a lightly floured work surface. Roll it out to approximately 2 cm thick.

Step 5

Cut out the donuts using a donut cutter or round cutters.

Step 6

Arrange the donuts on parchment paper. Repeat the process with the remaining dough.

Step 7

Brush the donuts with the remaining 30 g of melted butter.

Step 8

Preheat the air fryer to 180°C (350°F).

Step 9

Place the donuts in the air fryer basket in a single layer, working in batches if necessary. Air fry for approximately 3 minutes, checking that they are cooked through.

Step 10

Dip the donuts into the melted milk chocolate and place them on a wire rack. Allow the chocolate glaze to set before serving.
