Try making these air fryer donuts and you may never want to deep-fry donuts again! They are soft, fluffy and sweet, coated in melted chocolate and decorated with colorful sprinkles or white chocolate.
Made with a yeast dough enriched with milk, eggs and butter, these homemade donuts have a tender texture and a delicious flavor. The air fryer cooks them quickly with very little added butter, making this a convenient alternative to traditional fried donuts.
These air fryer donuts are perfect for breakfast, dessert or a sweet treat to share with family and friends. Finish them with dark chocolate, white chocolate or your favorite toppings.

Ingredients
Directions
Add the milk, egg, egg yolk and yeast to the bowl of a stand mixer. Mix well until combined.
Add the flour, salt and room-temperature butter. Knead with the mixer on medium-high speed for 10–12 minutes, until the dough is smooth and pulls away from the sides of the bowl.
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let the dough rise at room temperature for 1–1½ hours, or until doubled in size. The rising time depends on the temperature of the room.
Cut 10 small squares of parchment paper, each measuring approximately 10 × 10 cm. Place the cut donuts on these squares to make transferring them to the air fryer easier.
Lightly flour your work surface and roll out the dough to a thickness of 1–1.5 cm.
Cut out the donuts using a donut cutter or two round cutters of different sizes.
Gather the leftover dough and knead it gently by hand.
Roll out the dough again and repeat the cutting process until you have 10 donuts.
Cover the donuts with a clean kitchen towel and let them rise at room temperature for at least 30 minutes, or until doubled in size.
Transfer the first 4 donuts, together with their parchment paper squares, to the air fryer basket. Brush the tops with melted butter.
Air fry at 180°C (350°F) for 3 minutes. Turn the donuts over, brush with melted butter and cook for another 3 minutes.
Remove the donuts from the air fryer and repeat the same process with the remaining donuts.
Dip the cooled donuts into the melted dark chocolate. Decorate with colorful sprinkles or drizzle with melted white chocolate. Serve and enjoy!
